Shelley Braithwaite has a Masters degree in occupational therapy from the University of Utah. As an Utah native, it was amazing to stay in Utah and attend the UofU. Shelley focused her schooling and career towards care and rehabilitation of the upper extremity. She did one of her professional rotations at Summit Hand Therapy, where she was an impressive and well prepared student. Shelley has continued to grow and develop her skills as a Hand Therapist through continuing her education and has become a Graston Technique provider. Shelley is currently the managing therapist in Summit Hand Therapy’s Farr West clinic and focuses on creating a positive therapeutic environment. Her main focus is to promote healing by working hand in hand with each patients individual need and goals. She accomplishes this goal by using her skills in manual therapy and knowledge of appropriate therapeutic activities based on injury and patient abilities. These three things combined: continuing education, patient goal oriented therapy, and a positive therapeutic environment are Shelley’s combination for success! Shelley was raised in Brigham City, Utah. When she is not in clinic, you will find her in the outdoors with her family. Her favorite activities include camping, kayaking, fishing and tearing it up on the pickle ball or tennis courts.
