Sam and Melissa DeLong, Owners

Nestled at the base of the northern Utah Wasatch mountain range, there was no better location for owners Sam and Melissa to fulfill their dream of opening a stand-alone hand therapy clinic. With the beauty of the mountains and the year-round outdoor recreation options, it was the perfect location for them to raise their family as well. They started in 2007 with one location in Layton, Utah and have since grown to five clinics in three northern Utah counties. The majestic mountain backdrop provides all of the activities they love to do with their family, skiing, backpacking and more. Owning and building Summit Hand Therapy dream has been an incredible journey! Their hope is that your journey to rehabilitation is like that climb up to the summit. It may be difficult, but once you reach the vista, the work was worth the journey.

Angela Jensen, Director of Billing, Office Manager

Angela Jensen manages our front office team. She trains our front desk staff to provide knowledgeable and friendly service from the patient’s initial contact with Summit Hand Therapy. However great she is at that task, that is not her greatest skill. One of the things that makes Summit Hand Therapy stand out is our billing department. If patients have questions or concerns about their insurance, bill, or the process of continued therapy, Angie will find the answer. She has been with Summit Hand Therapy from its initial start and provides patients with exceptional care beyond therapy. Patients will find that Angie’s knowledge of insurance raises the bar. She was raised in North Ogden, Utah but calls West Point, Utah her home. This is where she and her husband have been raising their four children and breeding the most adorable golden-doodles. Angie loves to backpack, scuba dive, travel and spending time with her husband and children.

Jared Jenkins, Director Marketing and Business Development

Jared Jenkins brings a unique element to the culture and success of Summit Hand Therapy. With over 20 years of experience in the medical world as a marketing representative, he is a liaison between providers, patients and therapists. This effective communication helps us provide a well rounded approach to improving patient care and informing new providers of the services we offer that can benefit their patients. Jared has been intimately involved with the success of Summit Hand Therapy for many years, as he has continued to build our clinic footprint by communicating with providers in how we can improve. Jared loves to backpack and golf with his family and friends. Although he is originally from Gridley, California he resides in Alpine, Utah where he rebuilds motorcycles and is raising his four children with his wife.
